Bourgogne Blanc 2023
This wine was barrel fermented and matured in older French oak, allowing the purity of the fruit to take centre stage. Produced from just two barrels, any new oak would have overwhelmed the wine's natural character. The blend brings together fruit from Les Pellons in Meursault and Champ Perrières in Puligny-Montrachet. While there was not enough fruit to produce two separate village wines, the combination has resulted in an elegant and beautifully balanced Bourgogne Blanc.
The nose is expressive and floral, with aromas of white stone fruit and fresh citrus. The palate is vibrant and refined, carrying those citrus and orchard fruit notes through to a long, energetic finish supported by bright natural acidity.
